During the COVID19 pandemic, most of our GSA clinics are choosing to hold virtual clinics over the phone and on Zoom.
How our clinics work:
Submit an intake form (on this page) and include any pertinent information you have about your legal issue.
One of our volunteers will contact you and - if possible - schedule you for a clinic appointment. Our clinics are held on Saturday mornings. *submission of an intake form does not guarantee an appointment.
The volunteer you speak with might ask you to send over any related documents you have (i.e. parenting plan, lease agreement, contract, etc.)
On the day of your appointment you’ll either join via zoom/conference call or go in person to one of our clinic locations - and our volunteer attorneys and admin/paralegals will meet with you for approx. one hour to both discuss your issue and determine a good plan of action to go forward.
If you are in need of follow up beyond that clinic session we are happy to schedule you for a future date.
*GSA provides legal advice and guidance and in some cases, limited representation in the form of mediation, phone calls, emails, letters, etc. but we are unable to provide you with any full representation at this time. If it becomes apparent that your legal case requires full representation we will do our best to refer you out to other organizations or law firms, but we cannot make any guarantees.
*We do not assist with criminal cases.
*We prioritize helping lower-income demographics. Appointments are limited and not guaranteed.
How do I apply?
Fill out the form below! Though we would love to help everyone, we are limited by the numbers and types of attorney volunteers we have. We will collect information which will allow us to contact you, research your legal issue, ensure we’re focusing our efforts on our low-income neighbors who couldn’t otherwise afford an attorney, and also allow us to run checks for conflicts of interest.
